Advanced drones often have a degree of protection that can avoid dust and moisture interference under certain conditions. Flying a drone in the rain seems like an unwise choice, but our EVO MAX 4T will not be afraid of danger, this is a drone with IP43 protection level*(Custom service).
What is IP43 protection level?
The IP protection level is the IEC 60529 standard drafted by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), which classifies electrical appliances according to their dust-proof and moisture-proof characteristics. The first digit indicates the range of the equipment's resistance to fine dust, and the second digit indicates the electronic equipment. Degree of waterproofing. The higher the number, the higher the protection level!
The IP43 protection level declared by MAX 4T will be able to prevent the intrusion of solid foreign objects with a diameter greater than 1.0mm, and prevent the intrusion of sprayed water, that is to say, it can prevent rain or prevent spraying from directions with an angle of less than 60 degrees from the vertical. Water ingress into the appliance and damage it.
Note: IP43 protection is a custom service. Please contact us after ordering if you need it.
In the environment of light and moderate rain, MAX 4t can fly freely. UAV drones with higher protection levels can adapt to more complex environments, such as underwater drones with protection levels up to IP67.
How does a waterproof drone work?
Protecting a drone's vital electronic components from moisture requires a thin film of conformal coating on the printed circuit board (PCB). To protect the drone from corrosive liquids and its delicate electronics, conformal coatings are used.
Are most drones waterproof?
There are waterproof drones on the market, although most aren't. "Waterproof" means the drone can withstand heavy rain, not just splashes or drizzle. It's important to remember, though, that most waterproof drones can't withstand salt water.
Most drones can probably withstand some splashing raindrops, but not always!
What happens if the drone gets wet?
If the drone is exposed to water or too much rain, the water flow may enter the motor of the drone, which may erode the motor system, damage the battery, and make your drone wobble in the air until it crashes! Do not expose your non-waterproof drone to water!
