EVO Max Series Drone Firmware Upgraded to V1.8

The EVO Max Series and Autel Enterprise App have received a major upgrade. It's time to update the EVO MAX drone firmware and explore the A-Mesh, Speaker and Spotlight, SkyAwareness, AI Identification and Floating Ball features in V1.8.

Although some features were announced when the EVO MAX series drones were released, they were officially released in the drone firmware V1.8 version. We are moving step by step towards the advertisement.

A-Mesh

The A-Mesh feature allows multiple aircraft and controllers to form a network, enabling users to control multiple aircraft at the same time and use additional controllers as a secondary view of the main controller. For more information, check out the A-Mesh Introduction and How to A-Mesh Features.

Speaker and Spotlight Combo

The Speaker and Spotlight Combo is an all-in-one device that effectively combines a speaker and a spotlight, allowing pilots to see objects clearly in low-light environments and transmit sound over long distances in various mission types.

How do I use the Speaker and Spotlight Combo?

1. Attach the Speaker & Spotlight to the USB-C port on the aircraft.
2. Power on the aircraft.
3. Open the Autel Enterprise app.
4. Navigate to Payload feature to enable the Speaker and Spotlight.
5. To use the Gimbal-Payload Sync feature, go to Settings>Payload, and activate Gimbal-Payload Sync.

Note:

• The EVO Max Series Speaker & Spotlight are only compatible with EVO Max Series firmware version V1.8
• If your Speaker & Spotlight CANNOT use the speaker or Gimbal-Payload Sync feature, please update your Speaker & Spotlight to version V2.0.4.0 using the instructions below.

• Always ensure that you plug the Speaker & Spotlight into the aircraft first before powering up the aircraft.

SkyAwareness

Autel SkyAwareness is a safety alert system utilizing ADS-B technology to enhance drone pilots' situational awareness, analyzing nearby aircraft data to detect collision risks and notify users via the Autel Enterprise App.

How do I activate the SkyAwareness feature?

1. Go to Settings>More>Safety and activate the SkyAwareness feature.
2. You will see nearby aircraft information on the map.
3. You can also select Strong, Moderate, or All for the alert level.

New AI Recognition - Smoke and Fire

The AI ​​Recognition feature adds fire and smoke recognition to the original objects such as people, vehicles, and boats, allowing firefighting, search and rescue (S&R) teams to improve the operational efficiency of their missions.

How do I turn on the Smoke & Fire recognition feature?

1. Go to Settings>More>Target Recognition Settings.
2. Now, you have the Smoke & Fire option for the AI recognition feature.

Function Display - Floating Ball

Autel users can now choose whether EVO MAX drone functions are displayed as a toolbar or hidden in a floating ball.

How do I turn on the floating ball feature?

1. Go to Settings>More>Shortcuts.
2. Change the Toolbar to Floating Ball.
3. Now, you can see all features are hidden in the floating ball as shortcuts.
