Autel Camera Drone Photo Shooting Mode Description

Autel camera drones are consumer drone series, including EVO Nano series, EVO Lite series, EVO II Pro series. These camera drones support 4K video recording and above, which can fully capture high-definition aerial images.

The shooting modes of Autel camera drones are roughly divided into 6 types: (single shooting, burst shooting, HDR, AEB continuous shooting, timed shooting, panoramic shooting). Reasonable use of different shooting modes can provide more information for post-processing of photos.

Single shot: the most common, one shot with one click of the shutter.

Continuous shooting: Take 3 / 5 photos at a time, which is used for post-compositing when the wind speed is high or night shooting, which can effectively improve the output rate.

AEB continuous shooting (Auto Exposure Bracketing): Auto Exposure Bracketing, when turned on, the drone will use different exposure compensation values to continuously take 3 / 5 photos (standard, underexposed, overexposed). Through post-compositing, a photo with a correct exposure and a relatively large dynamic range can be obtained.

HDR (High Dynamic Range): High dynamic range images can provide more details and dynamic range than ordinary photos. Similar to AEB continuous shooting mode, different exposure compensation values are used to shoot and finally synthesize a finished picture.

Timing shooting: Taking EVO Lite+ as an example, there are 2s/3s/4s/5s (default)/6s/.../60s (DNG minimum 5s) and other setting options, and it will automatically shoot once every once in a while after setting.

Panoramic shooting: Panoramic shooting has four shooting modes, Horizontal/Vertical/Wide-angle/Spherical, and the photo storage format is JPG/DNG.

Autel drone Panoramic shooting

Drone aerial panoramas have a wide range, and the light of each part of the panorama material is often very different. Therefore, it is often necessary to use other post-processing image processing software to optimize image composition in the panoramas captured by drones.
