The drone battery is the energy source that allows the drone to operate normally. Once the drone battery cannot be charged/cannot work properly, it will seriously affect the drone or even damage the drone.
Most drones use lithium-ion batteries, which are small in size, high in energy, have huge power storage capabilities, can be used repeatedly, and have long battery life.
How to diagnose drone battery problems?
The first step in diagnosing drone battery problems is to check the battery connections. A poor drone battery connection can result in insufficient power, causing the drone to malfunction or not be usable at all.
To properly check the battery connection, first turn off the drone and unplug the battery. Check the battery connector for any signs of damage or wear, such as bent pins or corrosion. It is also important to ensure that the battery is properly installed in the drone’s battery compartment and that the connectors are making firm contact.
Common issues associated with poor battery connections include the drone not powering on, sudden power loss during flight, or inconsistent performance. If you suspect that your drone’s battery connections are the cause of its issues, try cleaning the connectors with a soft brush or cloth, or consider replacing the battery if the connectors appear damaged.
Check how your drone is charging
Autel drones have two charging methods. One is to put the drone battery in the drone for charging, and the other is to charge the drone battery separately.
If the drone battery cannot be charged when placed in the drone, please check whether the drone charging cable, drone charger, firmware issues are normal.
If the drone battery does not work when charged alone, please check whether the drone charging center, drone charger, and battery are normal.
In addition, you also need to pay attention to the charging environment of the drone, such as the external temperature is too high or too low, the drone battery is too low or has not been used for a long time, and other factors to eliminate the specific reasons why the drone battery is not working.
How to properly store lithium-ion batteries?
Do not store the battery immediately after charging or leave it for a long time.
Do not charge the drone battery for a long time.
Do not store or store batteries with 0% charge.
Do not charge when the battery is hot.
Do not charge the battery immediately after it is exhausted.
